We answer the most frequent inquiries our readers have about our startup news community, Detour Detroit.
How did you start Detour Detroit?
Our founder Ashley Woods Branch won a spot in The Information’s first accelerator for local media startups! She used the accelerator and a visiting Nieman fellowship at Harvard University to build out the idea for Detour, and recruited former HuffPost coworker Kate Abbey-Lambertz to serve as the community’s editor and creative director.
