🥁Concert of Colors: Immerse yourself in global sounds, both virtually and in person, at the 29th annual Concert of Colors. The fest takes over the Cultural Center with dozens of musicians, poets and artists hailing from Algeria, Haiti, Uganda, Guatemala, Ukraine and across the U.S. Through Aug. 9, free, info.

🎹 2021 Wednesday Jazzy Nights: Listen to the jazzy sounds of PJ Morton & BJ The Chicago Kid this week at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre. Aug. 4, $16-50, info. 

🎸 Japanese Breakfast in concert: Korean-American musician and author Michelle Zauner is the frontrunner of this indie rock band — check them out at Saint Andrew’s Hall. Aug. 4, $25+, info. 

🎤 El Club reopening week: The Southwest venue’s jam-packed lineup continues with Jax Anderson and Curtis Roach Wednesday night (free), Negative Approach and the Detroit Cobras Thursday ($26) and The Gories and The Stools Friday night ($26). Aug. 4-6, info.

🎶 🥬 Southwest Detroit Environmental Vision Garden Party: Support a nonprofit advocating for environmental justice in Southwest Detroit during a festive evening where you can tour their Cadillac Urban Garden while enjoying live music and perusing handmade wares from local artisans. 🥒 Northwest Detroit Farmers Market: Shop small and grab some local produce while enjoying live jazz! Aug. 5, free, info. 

🎸 Hamtramck Music Festival: You probably can’t see 150 artists in one weekend, but you can try. The Hamtramck fest returns with shows at bars across the city — find the full lineup here and a few top show picks here. Aug. 5-8, $15 fest pass, info.

🎙️ Lucky Daye: The four-time Grammy-nominated R&B artist performs at Beacon Park this Friday, with openers and plenty of food and drink for purchase. Aug. 6, free, info.

💃 Havana Nights Detroit: The annual Havana Nights Summer Charity Soiree at the Roostertail is back this year in full swing. Come dance the night away to live music and support the Belle Isle Boat House. Aug. 6, $40/$75, info.
